Professor Vanda greets you as you sit down next to him. “Ah, Jake. How nice of you to join me!”
Lady Maygrove turns away from the two of you and to the girl on the other side. “Say, Sue. You’ve been here the longest of the four of us. Anything curious that you noticed since you came?”
The girl, Sue, smiles at the question. “You’ve already asked me this since you arrived this morning, miss. Sadly, my answer hasn’t changed, except for the glaring emptiness, I didn’t notice anything.”
Lady Maygrove humphs. “Don’t worry too much.”, Vanda says. “Lady Maygrove is being paranoid. I’m sure Hellfair will show up sooner or later. Especially since the last guest has arrived!”
He pats you on the back as he says this. The gazes of Lady Maygrove and Sue turn to you.
“Well, I hope so.”, you say, as you feel inclined to reply.
At that moment, Roddy shows up and brings in the starters.
Sue, seems quite happy. “Oh you’ll be delighted, Jake.”, she tells you. “Roddy’s food is exquisite.”

“Anything less, would certainly be unsatisfactory.”, Lady Maygrove says and tentatively takes a bite. Professor Vanda shows no such reservations and happily digs in.
